Dr. Preeti Raghunath is a Visiting Fellow at NIICE. Her research interest lies in the critical study of media policymaking in South Asia. Her book titled 'Community Radio Policies in South Asia: A Deliberative Policy Ecology Approach' has been published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2020. She has been working on Non-Personal Data in India, and is interested in data rights in South Asia. She is an Assistant Professor at the Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune, India. She holds a PhD from the University of Hyderabad, India, and a Masters in International Relations and Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has received a funded opportunity to attend the Annenberg-Oxford Media Policy Summer Institute, University of Oxford. She is the recipient of grants and awards for her research in communication and media policy in South Asia. She has recently been elected as a Vice-Chair of the Global Media Policy Working Group of the International Association of Media and Communication Research.
