ABOUT JOURNAL OF SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES (JSIS)

Journal of Security and International Studies (JSIS) is the flagship journal of the Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement (NIICE). JSIS strives to publish prominent scholarship that engrosses with substantial academic, pragmatic, and normative themes in Security and International Studies with the special focus on Asia. Articles published in JSIS aims to move beyond the boundaries of state borders and deeply engage in political, security, economic and social progressions in a meaningful way. They intended to deliver answers through descriptive conundrums, contemporary innovative study and at the same time discover subject matters in international security and relation theories. INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

  1. Articles for submission must be in English. It must be original and not previously published in any other journal either in printed or in electronic form. It also must not be in the process of being reviewed for publication in any journal.
  2. Submissions must include a cover page that bears the author’s name, an abridged resume of the author, title of the article and an abstract with keywords. The article should start from the second page with title, but must not contain the name of the author. For multiple authored papers, please identify the Corresponding Author.
  3. All articles should be submitted in Word format only.
  4. The articles must be within the limitation of 5000-7000 words including illustrations, graphs, and charts; line spacing must be double spaced.
  5. Paper should have a Title (less than 100 characters, except few exceptions), an Abstract (between 150 and 200 words) and Keywords (between 5 and 8 words)
  6. For citation, APA 6th Referencing Style must be followed.
  7. Drawings, photographs, slides, tables, charts, maps etc, must be numbered
  8. The submitted articles will undergo a blind submission policy and will be anonymously reviewed by academic peers. The decision of the Editorial Committee will be the final.
  9. Please strictly follow the JSIS Stylesheet.
