Dr. Soumya Awasthi works as Research Associate at NIICE. Her area of specialization is counter-terrorism, religious radicalization and issues related to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. She is also a consultant at Tony Blair Institute, UK. She holds her PhD from Center for International Politics,Organization and Disarmament (CIPOD), School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Previously, she worked with Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis (IDSA), New Delhi and has been the Visiting Fellow at United Services Institute, New Delhi. She has published several articles and chapters for journals and books. She has presented paper at International and National conferences.
