“Understanding Nepal’s Foreign Policy” is organised by the Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement (NIICE) with the aim to bring together policymakers, diplomats, scholars, and practitioners to examine Nepal’s evolving external engagements. It explores Nepal’s foreign relations with different countries, the emerging debates shaped by major powers, and the role of regional organisations in shaping Nepal’s diplomatic landscape. In addition, the Forum highlights the growing importance of Track 1.5 and Track 2 diplomacy in fostering meaningful policy discourse and strengthening Nepal’s international outreach.
The previous edition drew inspiration from the previous Forum organised on 27–28 November 2021, which featured 123 speakers from Nepal and other countries.
