“Understanding International Migration” is a forum which explores issues like the economics of International Migration, the growing impact of Climate Change on mobility, and the Gender Dimension of migration, highlighting the distinct experiences and vulnerabilities of women migrants.
Its previous issue was held on 7 February 2021, bringing together 73 scholars from 25 countries. A special focus was placed on Cross-Border Migration in South Asia, a region marked by complex historical and socio-political dynamics. By convening experts from around the world, the Forum provided a focused platform for dialogue on emerging trends, challenges, and policy approaches in international migration.
